I’d interviewed Portland-based author Leslie Stephens, writer and curator of the popular lifestyle newsletter, Morning Person, about her debut novel, You’re Safe Here for my article recently published in the Source Weekly.
What I never imagined is to be personally invited by Leslie to join her in conversation during her book tour. I took a double take on the email, reading it through, more slowly, for a second time to confirm what I thought I just read.
