Recipe: The Best Homemade Iced Matcha Latte
My Time-Tested, Go-To Morning Drink: I haven't found a better way to make a matcha latte at home 🍵 *Comfort in a Cup*
Honesty: Moab didn’t go as planned. That’s the most neutral way to say it turned out to be a shit-show. No, I don’t feel like talking about it right now. So…
For now: Matcha. Because other than morning cuddles with the three bestest furry kiddos more commonly known as my dogs, it’s the only thing I look forward to in the morning.
That’s all for now. Happy latte making.
Recipe: Homemade Iced Matcha Latte
Ingredients
1 tbsp pure matcha powder
1-2 tsp sweetener of choice (sugar, honey, maple syrup, etc.)
1 tbsp hot water
1 handful ice cubes
1-1.5 cups milky goodness of choice (best with soy, almond or oat milks)
How to make it at home
Grab your favorite vessel (mason jars make me happy). Drop in your matcha powder and sweetener.
Pour in hot water. Stir until smooth and blended.
Add ice cubes and then milk. Stir and enjoy the dreamy swirl.
Enjoy with or without a straw (preferably reusable; I love my metal straws).
For a hot version: substitute the ice for water or more milk and gently heat all the milk on the stove top before adding it to your matcha/sweetener/hot water mixture. Stir and enjoy in your favorite, cozy mug.
